Designjet 5000 incomplete print jobs

What we are currently experiencing is that the HP5000 no longer finishes any plotting where the input file comprises of a significant amount of data. We still can plot vector drawings where most of the space on paper stays white. When we want to plot such a map sheet with a photographic underlay, though, we are no longer successful.We are printing on a 36" roll using the entire width. I found your website by doing a search for a problem an out of state acquaintance is experiencing with his printer. It got me to thinking about a printer for myself and after reading what he posted about the HP Designjet 5500PS 42” printer. I recently purchased a Designjet 5000 and connected to my PC running Windows 7 Home Premium, unfortunately my PC didn't communicate with the printer, is there a software issue? can you please respond. Hi Sir, I have a problem of my HP desigejet 5500 42', system self-test failure, and shows that system error: Air pressure system. How can I fix the problem and need change any parts? It is urgently and like to have your opinion with much appreciations. Best Regards Henry You will need to replace the air pressure system (APS). It is a small mechanism clipped under the ink supply station, fairly easy to replace. The replacement procedure is in the service manual which can be downloaded from MANUAL. Communications problem with Jetdirect

I have a HP Designjet 5000 and last year I purchased a new carriage belt. I installed it and everything worked great. I did not use the printer for a couple of months and now I can not get it to received a signal through the HP Directjet Card on the back of the printer. I installed an new card but still do not get a light on the back to verify internet connection. Is there something I can do to resolve this problem? Try to open the web page in the plotter by using Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc. ...
