Tech Help — Designjet 500 800 Technical Help

he space for Ink Supply Station on hp is too small for new ISS that you send me. The original ISS on the 500 & 800 had a bracket that held the assembly.  The bracket is not used with the newer style ISS and needs to be removed.  There is a T10 screw, usually colored red or blue in the area shown by the arrow.  Remove the screw, move the plastic toward the end of the machine and remove it.  Then install the new ISS where the bracket was installed.

Hello from New Zealand. Since I have replaced the belt on my printer I have printed in black and white mostly but not much. I tried printing today but after a few sheets it start to hit and miss the ink. It was as if it was spraying ink in some place and not in the others and in the final sheet it virtually didn’t print anything. I have an HP Designjet 500ps. I have recently changed the carriage belt using your video but I am getting "Error 87:13 - Possiblty Paper Jam com up" I have followed the instructions on the screen a number of times but can not seem to get past this point. Would you have any suggestions?  The plotter is not able to detect the lines on the encoder strip.  The encoder strip may be installed incorrectly or the trailing cable is not installed correctly.   The first thing to check is to see if there is any deflection in the encoder strip...

Last week I purchased a new belt and installed it. Everything went well had no problems. But now it prints a double line and shadows text. Some areas are printed correctly. If I change the settings to best, it prints a lot slower, but not the double line, as much but in some places. I was wondering if you had any suggestions. I changed all the inks, print heads, Black (twice). From our conversation from today. .. the printer printed 2-3 pages then just cut off 1/4 of the next page. .. do you think it's air in the line?   HP. 500 Thx. RobertIf a color simply faded out, yes, it is air in the ink tube system.  Replace the ink tube system.
