Worked perfectly

Ordered two of these ink tube kits to fix a pair of "dead" DesignJet 500s for a very distraut architect client of mine. Install was straightforward and the plotters now work perfectly. Also ordered the carriage belt kit for one and and a new carriage assembly for the other which also were great.

ALL FOUR PARTS I ORDERED WERE AT A GOOD PRICE AND HIGH QUALITY. THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY HELPFUL. I COULD NOT HAVE RE-ASSEMBLED THE PLOTTER MYSELF WITHOUT THE HELPFUL INSTRUCTIONS.

Good Option to Hiring Someone To Fix My Plotter

First your email says 12 days ago. However, it didn’t take into account the days for shipping, nor that it arrived just before a weekend. It also did not take into account the 6 hr delay for Tech Support to call me back.

I followed Bob’s YouTube video, which was not a refurbished kit. Unfortunately the instructions were packed with the invoice at the bottom of the box. Of course I read them too late and required Tech Support to help me get the plotter running after the ink tubes were primed and NO dummy print heads were supplied.

I mentioned to the Tech Support person that the T8 screw that holds the print head piece in place was difficult to remove, since there was NO bit supplied, most bit sets do not have a T8 bit, and the kit I received when I got my carriage drive belt kit did not have one either.

The printed instructions were faint making them hard to read and photos that were difficult to decipher.

I waited nearly 6 hrs to get the return call from Tech Support, but he was very knowledgeable and did help me get the plotter up and running. All in all, I’d still buy your product and only wish to help you improve your instructions to others as well as providing the necessary tools that may not be common.

The return of the used core was straight forward, but not clear when I ordered or received the kit.
