This printer encoder strip provides carriage motion information to the electronics. A defective strip can cause Y-axis errors. This is a new HP OEM part. This part is for the following printers:

T610, T620, T770, T1100, T1120, T1200, T790, T1300, T2300

System errors related to the encoder strip:

  • Error 87:YZ (also caused by faulty carriage)
