IMPORTANT: On T770, T1200, T1300, T2300, and newer machines, there is an ID chip embedded on the drive roller encoder sensor. The machine's ID chip is paired to the HDD, so if you replace the encoder sensor, KEEP YOUR OLD ONE. You can plug the ID cable into the ID chip on your old encoder sensor, while the power/sensor cables are plugged into the replacement sensor.
